Tues. & Sat. Handbuilding Classes Have Space Available

All wheel classes are full for spring.

Spring Quarter 2018

Stop by our studio or call to enroll. Class size is limited to 8 students age 18 or older.

Each 8 week class meets for 2 hours, once a week.

Classes are $125 and include 8 weeks of instruction, 25 lbs. of clay, and all glazing and firing costs.

Students are encouraged and welcome to practice outside of class time during open studio hours.


MONDAY

April 2nd - May 21st

(FULL) WHEEL THROWING:  All Levels - 6p-8p

Learn or review the basics of working on the potter's wheel and improve your skills; including centering, trimming, basic shapes, handles, glazing, vases, pitchers, lids, and closed forms.


TUESDAY

April 3rd - May 22nd

** Daytime Class **

HANDBUILDING & SCULPTURE:  All Levels - 12p-2p

Learn or review the fundamentals of handbuilding, including pinch, coil, slab and extrusion.  Surface texture, decoration, wedging and glazing are also presented. Make a project each class, bring your ideas to discuss.


WEDNESDAY

April 4th - May 23rd

Learn the basics of working on the potter's wheel including centering, trimming, basic shapes, handles and glazing.

We will be closed May 26th for Memorial Day weekend.


HANDBUILDING & SCULPTURE:  All Levels - 10a-12p

Explore 'Forms of the Figure' in your work. Learn or review the fundamentals of handbuilding, including pinch, coil, slab and extrusion. Surface texture, decoration, wedging and glazing are also presented.  Explore methods of making both functional and sculptural forms with emphasis on organic, geometric, abstract and lifelike forms and figures. Bring your ideas to class.
